- Apex Nodes and our major verticals are migrating to the Apex Foundation.

- The Apex Foundation will comprise an Advisory Board of specialists and external advisors.

- The Apex Foundation and the Advisory Board are to meet once a month to discuss pertinent matters.

We’re pleased to announce that Apex Nodes and our major verticals will now be migrating to fall under the Apex Foundation umbrella at Apex Foundation. This re-organisation has become necessary to support Apex’s rapid growth and expansion into different verticals in a relatively short period. You can link to all our other verticals from Apex Foundation, whereas the Apex Nodes will still retain its dedicated site at www.apexnodes.io.

By migrating the different verticals to sit under the Apex Foundation, Apex will improve efficiency and better the future management and administration of the Apex ecosystem by providing a unified launchpad and scaling platform for our verticals.

Other Apex Foundation verticals include; ApexChain, ApexSwap, ApexBridge, and Apex Lending Protocol. Meanwhile, the revenue generated from the verticals above will still add to the funding and replenishment of the Apex Nodes Rewards Pool.

The Apex Foundation will also have a new addition which is the Apex Advisory Board, headed by CryptoScoop, with NodeCatcher as the first board member. New Board members will be announced over the coming months.

The Advisory Board and the Apex Team will meet once a month to discuss the business, company vision, innovations, risk management, vertical scaling and profitability. Minutes of these meetings will be published to the community to ensure transparency and keep everyone informed of our progress.

The Apex Foundation will create an intuitive, organized, and highly collaborative platform for Apex to receive advice from external advisors and professionals who’d also be its Board Members.

Furthermore, the Apex Foundation will help to develop our various verticals as there’d be a network of specialists collaborating to create more use cases for Apex Nodes, our verticals, and partners alike. By creating openings for external specialists and connections, it will also serve as a testing ground for the team’s strategic plans and innovations.

What to Expect From This Migration to Apex Foundation

#1. Interoperability

Our previous setup where we laid out our verticals as individual entities singularized them and hampered utility and innovation that’d make the verticals interoperate better.

Several of our verticals will be interoperating, for instance, you will be able to use your deposits in the Apex DeFi Autocompounder as collateral in the Apex Lending Protocol.

But then, bringing Apex Nodes, ApexChain, ApexSwap, ApexBridge, and Apex Lending Protocol under a singular Apex Foundation will make room for the creation of more use cases that’ll interconnect more if not all of our verticals.

#2. Strategic planning And Innovation

We’re decentralizing our team to align with our vision to support true decentralization in the Defi space. Apex’s growth has been so fast-paced we need more specialists to spearhead different aspects of planning and innovation in the ecosystem. The Advisory Board will comprise professionals, thought leaders, and external advisors who’d pool their experiences to plan toward innovations that’ll scale the Apex ecosystem.

#3. Administrative Efficiency

We’re continually building new use cases for the Apex ecosystem. And we prioritize partnerships with other projects that’ll allow us to impact them and benefit from their unique offerings.

Leaving the Apex ecosystem as the broader body and putting our verticals under the Apex Foundation reduces the overall administrative load and makes it efficient to manage and scale our current verticals under Apex Foundation as well as our future verticals and utility outlets.

#4. Accountability and Transparency

Broadcasting Apex Foundation meeting outcomes will help us to be more accountable to our users. We want our users and fans to follow our every step as we create a more decentralized future through our network of nodes and attendant infrastructure.

#5. Appraisal and Scaling

The monthly meetings between the Advisory Board and the Apex Team will also highlight Apex’s business-side operations and how much the team’s milestones have aligned with the company’s vision.

It will assess how well we’ve beat our monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, and point out areas requiring proper risk management and profitability for our nodes and the team in general.

As a true Node-as-a-Service protocol, empowering blockchain networks, we uphold the security and censorship resistance of our nodes and the broader ecosystem. Apex Foundation will create a platform upon which we can address any perceived security lapses and fortify the Apex ecosystem.
